From therapist to business owner
After completing her beauty therapy studies, Caitlin’s journey in the workforce began at Simply Indulgent alongside founder Fiona Ritchie, whose passion for skincare set the tone for the business. As Caitlin took on more responsibility, she naturally transitioned into the leadership role, eventually taking over the business in 2024 and continuing its legacy with fresh ideas and a strong client focus.
For Caitlin, Simply Indulgent is about helping people feel confident in their skin. With a hands-on approach, she has built on the brand’s reputation for warm, knowledgeable service.
“Our clients trust us because we explain what their skin is doing, what it needs, and how we can help,” Caitlin says. “It’s not about trends – it’s about what works for each individual.”

Skincare meets self-care
Simply Indulgent offers everything from waxing to massage to beautifully indulgent facials. Every treatment is personalised, with client wellbeing and visible change at the heart. “We see people going through so many stages of life. Being able to support them through all of it – that’s what makes our work so rewarding.”
Growing a business, her way
Taking over the business has been both energising and full-on. Caitlin loves making the big decisions and shaping a business that reflects her values. Learning new aspects of running a business, like marketing and social media, keeps Caitlin on her toes.
“If I need something done, I flick Kath a message, and she just handles it. She knows her stuff, and I trust her to make it all work. It’s such an advantage to have someone in your corner like that.”
A website that supports growth
The Simply Indulgent website makes life easier for both clients and the business. With online booking, product info, and e-commerce all built in, it saves time and helps new clients get to know what’s on offer – without needing to pick up the phone. “The website is a real reflection of who we are,” Caitlin says. “It allows people to get a feel for our brand before they even walk in the door.”
Kath built Simply Indulgent’s first website in 2014, supported the move to online sales, and completed a full site refresh in 2023 to reflect how far the business has come.
What’s next?
Caitlin isn’t chasing trends – she’s focused on delivering consistently great experiences and continuing to evolve as a therapist and business owner. With plans to grow her team and keep refining her services, she’s excited about what’s ahead.
Her advice for others stepping into business ownership?
“Back yourself – even if you don’t have all the experience. It’s absolutely worth it. Just make sure you’ve got good people around you and take time to notice your wins along the way.”
